T.M.Lewin, a long-established shirtmaker from London’s Jermyn Street, has just launched their Fall collection. One of the gems of the season is their new Limited Edition shirts, available to buy now. The shirts are smart yet easy-to-wear, featuring premium fabrics and a choice of fit. God is in the detail, as they say, and so is the key to a good shirt. The Limited Edition offers plenty in that respect with extensive detailing, collar options and contrasting material.
The ever warmer Spring days are by no means a reason not to shop for a comfy leather jacket. Nights in London are never actually warm anyway and if anything Summer is an invitation for trips and journeys that always require a versatile and trusty jacket.
The ones above are from French designers Seraphin, specialising in top quality outerwear with a signature touch of sparkle. There’s even a crocodile skin one, which you’ll be lucky to find. In fact, stockists are far and few in between, but if your travels take you to Paris, Lyon, and Monte Carlo, or Moscow where there’s a dedicated store, then do pop in and marvel at the craftsmanship.
Off to the beach? There’s no reason to look Ronaldo-serious this summer – the beach is made for fun and so should be your swimming shorts. Pick a nice colourful print – flowers, fish and Hawaiian wiggles are always in vogue – and wear it boldly to cheer up the fishes and those around you. Oh, and do make sure you pick the right size; things aren’t always what they used to be in the waist department after Winter hibernation.
The quirky shorts above are from Boden’s swimwear collection. If you are after something even more wild, try the Parrot print swimshorts from Tommy Hilfiger. Bold, bright colors in classic styles gives men’s swimwear 2011 season a distinct ‘summer in the Hamptons’ vibe. Pack the striking Isabel beach towel and off you go.
And now for a couple of items from Speedo that won’t get any jokes. This rugby-like beach ball looks like tons of fun and the underwater camera is just the gadget to capture all the action. Available from Speedo’s online store.
Marlboro continue to blur the line between urban and country – in fact, most of their photography is of leather-clad men riding a vintage bike from one to the other. Their latest Winter 2010 line of jeans and jackets is functional yet stylish, following the theme of Casual Urban. Classic road-worn jeans and chinos are coupled with simple-patterned check shirts for a carefree macho look. The new line of coats features simple leathers, plenty of zip pockets and motorbike-inspired jackets, as well as thick warm wool blazers. Aviator hats and cowboy boots complete a look that Marlboro calls the Wild Citizen, which is more about garment character and quality than being loud and show-off-y.
Marlboro Classics are not easy to find in the UK, but they have a nice store in Westfields shopping centre that stocks the latest collection.

Dune’s White Wash collection is a great preppy inspired trend. With a neutral colour palette of white, cream and blue, it’s a look reminiscent of yacht club elegance. Soft leather & suede moccasins and woven and canvas espadrilles are crisp and fresh, while leather stitching and two tone panelling adds detail to almond toe lace-ups.
